Idia Aisien is a Nigerian-Cameroonian model and television presenter who, within one year, has made her voice heard in the Nigerian, and international fashion and television industry.
Idia was born on July 4, 1991, in Lagos, Nigeria. At age 15, she finished high school and her first modeling job was a UNICEF charity fashion show in Lagos.
In 2011, she graduated from American University with a B.A. in Journalism and a minor in Business Administration. After working for prestigious companies like Discovery Communications, Fox 5 News, the AARP Foundation, and the Foreign Policy Initiative, she moved to New York City.
She has also modeled for U.S. based designers like Alice + Olivia, J Brand, Cashhimi, Samantha Pleet, Jovani, Evelyn Lambert, Danny Nguyen, Sarah Bacchus, Undecillion by Rachel Walters, Nikki Angelique, and An Alili.
Idia is proud to have graced the catwalk for African designers like Maki Oh, Ituen Basi, Deola Sagoe and Lanre Da Silva.
She is currently a Talk Show host on Style 101, Nigeria’s version of Fashion Police, and You got Issues, a lifestyle show that caters to career, family and relationship issues, which both air on Spice TV.
Idia has been featured in both local and international magazines like Vogue USA, Elle South Africa, Blanck Digital London, ThisDay Style, Genevieve Magazine, TW Magazine; and graced the covers of Vanguard Allure, Exquisite Magazine, Guardian Life, Zen Magazine, Trendee Magazine and more.
