The 2019 edition of the Miss Nigeria USA (MNUSA) pageant is set to showcase the Nigerian culture and talents to Americans, and other Africans in the diaspora.
The sixth edition coming up May 25th at the Kumble Theater, 1 University Plaza, Brooklyn New York, it will feature 16 contestants representing 16 of the 36 states in Nigeria.
The founder Joy Fakhoury said the goal of the pageantry is to celebrate and project the beauty, talent, skills, and other unique things about the Nigerian woman.
“We plan to achieve our goal by giving contestants the opportunity to demonstrate their physical, cultural, and intellectual attributes,’ she said, adding that will produce a goodwill ambassador who will present MNUSA and Nigeria in a positive light.

Fakhoury noted the beauty show creates a platform for causes the Nigerian girls contesting are passionate about.
“It’s a humanitarian pageant projecting culture, styles, and service to help the girls,” she said.
The Saturday event, according to the organizer, will offer lovers of Nigeria and its culture an opportunity to have a swell time watching the girls talk about their culture and their passion.

No fewer than 300,000 Nigerians live in the US, and that figure remains the largest of over one million Africans in the US.
In 2017, Fakhoury gushed over the success of her pageantry show held in August and it’s no doubt one of the events to be remembered.
